| In September and October, Lone Spruce Alpacas participated in two local harvest events: one in Cooperstown, NY and one at Apple Hills in Binghamton. Nikki, Pansy, and Shenandoah represented the farm at the Cooperstown Harvest Festival. Kitty and Jeanne have been working hard on not only dyeing our own yarn, but sharing their knowledge with others. At both Cooperstown and the International Year of Fibers event in Binghamton, Jeanne gave presentations on "Fiber to Dye For: Learning the Basics of Dyeing Alpaca Fiber". Here are some examples of the beautiful yarn that has been made with this process. |

| Our Open House in September was once again plagued by cold and iffy weather, but the small group of people who showed up had a fun time. We had all of this years crias out on halters for the kids to lead and run through the obstacle course. At noon, we had an alpaca parade of the crias and yearlings. It was great to see how the kids bonded with the crias and everyone had a great time. Here's to hoping for good weather next year! |

| LADY GODIVA AND DANTE SOLD TO LOPICCOLO FARM |

| Lone Spruce Alpacas is delighted to share that we have sold our first two animals. This is a momentous occasion for us and we believe a great start to the Lopiccolo herd. We want to extend a hearty congratulations to Michael and Michelle Lopicollo who purchased these two crias in November. Lady Godiva, Orleana's granddaughter, and Dante, a promising young sire, were in our herd for only a few months. We wish them the best of luck at their new home. |
